Council members discussed the scope and noted recent and planned work in the Westfield area and other nearby streets. The mayor and council acknowledged a notable cost difference between earlier and later bids; Kelso and staff confirmed the recommended bid was appropriate.
A motion to approve the purchasing committees recommendation passed on a council vote. Council members did not provide a detailed project schedule in the meeting; staff indicated the project will be scheduled and coordinated with residents.
