ULDC committee asked to propose a definition of "rural" and select pillars to guide town policy

Committee members proposed topics to consider in their homework: preserving equestrian and agricultural land uses, restricting large truck-parking/vehicle fleets on residential properties, examining linear-park/trail zoning, reviewing lighting standards for wildlife, and clarifying nursery/business definitions within the ULDC. One member (S6) described "rural" as a lifestyle tied to agriculture and living close to nature: "To me, rural is actually getting back to nature, getting back into the dirt, getting back to a beginning." The committee asked staff to return with a prioritized list for the July council agenda and to coordinate with planning and zoning where items fall outside ULDC committee purview.
