The Carlisle County Fiscal Court acknowledged the Cunningham Fire Department’s budget submission, approved an FY '27 AOC agreement and carried several finance items before discussing parks improvements.
Chair said the court received Cunningham Fire Department’s budget (income around $47,000) and moved to acknowledge receipt; the motion was approved by voice vote. The court addressed the FY '27 AOC agreement, noting an estimated annual reimbursement of $233,008.59 (an increase of about $15,000 from the previous year) and approved entering the agreement by motion.
Treasurer reported a minor March restatement after voiding an AT&T check (roughly $23) and noted payroll timing changes; commissioners moved to approve the monthly reports. The court also approved a list of transfers into the general fund and voted to pay claims.
In parks business, the court discussed building a basketball court and a pickleball court using park funds, with cost estimates cited as 'under $40k' for the court work; commissioners also authorized purchase of six cameras (initial deployment budgeted around $1,200) and discussed trail tie-ins and a park entrance sign that has been ordered.
All finance motions were passed by voice vote and staff were directed to carry out follow-up procurement and payroll steps.
