Campbell County Board signs off on personnel roster, substitutes and consent items

The Campbell County Board of Education on Oct. 20 approved routine personnel actions and consent items submitted by district staff.
Dr. Shelli Wilson, superintendent, presented human resources reports covering certified hires, salary and job changes, superintendent actions, classified hires, substitute appointments and extra-duty positions. Notable items recorded in the minutes include the retirement of Douglas Hines, teacher at Campbell County High School, effective Nov. 1, 2025, and the retirement of Kelly Ritter (district secretary) effective Nov. 1, 2025. Several resignations and terminations for extra-duty and substitute positions were also recorded.
The consent agenda — approved by a single roll-call vote — included minutes from recent meetings, addendum and regular bills and orders of the treasurer. The board also received the treasurer's report, leave-of-absence records for multiple employees (several listed as intermittent through the 2025–26 school year) and notifications for bids, surplus equipment and the 2027–28 district calendar committee.
