Wichita County marks Law Enforcement Memorial Day; sheriff thanks deputies

"We're blessed to have a great group of men and women professionals who work for the sheriff's office," the sheriff said, adding that visiting yesterday’s Memorial Day ceremony was ‘‘sobering’’ and a reminder of the risks officers face. Commissioners expressed appreciation for law-enforcement service and noted the larger statewide and national observances.
