Bob Danehy — Zoning Board of Appeals appointment: The council moved and seconded a motion to appoint Bob Danehy to the Zoning Board of Appeals to fill a vacancy with a term expiring Nov. 3, 2027. The motion carried with the recorded vote of the seven councilors present.
Softball Field Study Committee discharged: Chair Jonathan Hand moved to discharge the Softball Field Study Committee in recognition of volunteers’ work; the motion passed unanimously.
Youth Services Coordinator job description revised and approved: The council approved an updated job description for the Youth Services Coordinator position following a minor revision; the vote was unanimous. The previous coordinator was promoted to Human Services Director and the vacancy will be advertised.
School Building Committee established (Resolution 2026-07): The council approved Resolution 2026-07 to establish a School Building Committee focused on PreK–5 facility needs; Board of Education Chair Jen Beausoleil said including PreK increases potential project reimbursement by about 15% and reflected state mandates and assessed priorities.
Town Manager salary adjustment: Following an executive-session performance review, the council voted to award the final 1% of a previously approved 2.5% salary increase for the Town Manager, retroactive to July 1, 2025.
