Council Member Holgren moved to approve the $8,000 unit purchase; Council Member Heman seconded the motion and it carried 5-0. Council asked staff to confirm the selected contractor is on the city’s vendor list and to solicit additional quotes if time permits. Several members emphasized the building’s frequent public use and the near-term need to keep the facility reasonably cool.
