Council debates and ultimately preserves funding talks for volunteer fire grant after staff questions usage

City staff proposed eliminating the city's $167,000 annual grant to the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department amid budget pressure and after reporting the volunteer department has spent less than half of the funds in recent years and had limited recent response days.
