County moves to amend ordinance on deadly weapons and searches to align with state statute

"Yes, it amends our uh our county ordinance repeal some and but yes, if you approve, we will be in compliance with state code," the presenter said. Commissioners agreed to introduce the amendment and to proceed with first-reading procedures; the transcript records motions to introduce and to pass on first reading.
The amendment was presented as a compliance action rather than a policy change initiated by commissioners. The board moved forward with the procedural steps required for ordinance amendment.
