At its March 9 meeting, the Stewartville City Council approved a set of routine consent and general-business items that included minutes, accounts payable, a lot split, a localized parking restriction and licensing renewals.
The council unanimously approved the minutes from the Feb. 24 meeting and moved to approve accounts payable with an additional listing. Planning staff reported that a recent survey of a property at 2011 Third Avenue Northwest (related to a 3032nd Street Northwest sale and parcel B) identified a likely fence encroachment; the planning commission recommended a lot split to resolve the discrepancy, and the council approved the associated resolution.
Council also approved a staff request to establish a no-parking zone along about 380 feet of Second Avenue Northwest, a measure staff said is intended to improve semi-truck loading, maneuverability and visibility in the area. The council approved a massage therapist license for Diane Brandt and renewed a business license for Vitality Villa at the address listed for the 2026 licensing period, contingent on a completed application.
Other routine items approved included committee minutes, a personnel retirement agreement for a public works employee, and scheduling updates for committee meetings. The meeting concluded after a short public comment opportunity and an adjournment vote.
