The Stewartville City Council moved through several routine business items and approved accounts payable, minutes and multiple departmental requests.
Finance officer Kelly presented the accounts payable listing and the council moved to approve it without discussion. The council also approved the minutes from the Oct. 28, 2025 meeting.
On capital equipment, staff described a four-year plan to replace aging VHF pagers with dual-band pagers compatible with future regional radio plans and to replace handheld radios that are no longer supported. Staff said Motorola Solutions provided state pricing; the council approved purchase of 10 pagers and six handheld radios with funds available in the fire department capital equipment fund.
The council also approved an annual maintenance agreement submitted by Homestead County covering maintenance on specified county roads and said the city would be reimbursed; the transcript contains garbled reimbursement figures and the exact dollar amount should be confirmed in the official contract. All motions were carried by voice vote.
