The Delaware Valley Regional Board of Education honored Dr. Corin Bo as this year’s Delaware Valley High School Educator of the Year and presented proclamations recognizing outstanding student and athletic achievements.
In a multi‑speaker tribute, board members and colleagues cited Dr. Bo's more than two decades in the science department, her reflective teaching practice and her presence beyond the classroom. One presenter said Dr. Bo "holds her students to high standards while providing the support they need to reach them," noting 11 separate nominations from students, staff, parents and administrators that led to the award.
The board also read formal resolutions honoring the boys basketball team for winning the Hunter/Warren/Sussex County title for the first time in program history and the boys wrestling team for an undefeated 24–0 season that resulted in the NJSIAA Group One state championship. The athletic director, Lance Jacobs, and several coaches highlighted milestone achievements including program win totals and individual awards.
Student recognitions included Student of the Month Meredith Levy (nominated for organizing an NHS food collection) and multiple athletes of the month across spring sports; the student representatives delivered short activity reports and season highlights.
The recognitions were followed by photos and a brief recess before the meeting continued into budget matters and committee reports. All resolutions will be included in the official meeting minutes and presented to the teams and honorees.
