The New Prague City Council voted 5‑0 to hire Quintillion Consulting for $32,000 to draft a request for proposals for managed IT services.
Ken and staff explained the city’s managed‑IT contract with CTS dates to the implementation of rewiring and equipment in 2020 and that technology needs have evolved. The city solicited two proposals to help draft an RFP: PMY (about $43,000) and Quintillion Consulting ($32,000). Staff recommended Quintillion as the lower‑cost option and noted the League of Minnesota Cities had recommended the firm for similar municipal projects.
"Quintillion has the lower cost," Ken said during the IT discussion. Council approved the recommendation to proceed with Quintillion Consulting to produce an RFP and recommendation on managed IT services.
Staff said existing budgeted IT funds would cover the consultant cost. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
