A staff member told the planning commission that this was the commission’s last meeting in the current building while city hall relocates for construction and administrative operations move temporarily to the public works facility on 17th Avenue South.
Staff said the move will begin around May 5 and that planning commission and council meetings will likely be scheduled at the public works facility or at the school district’s meeting room on Second Street South. The staff member asked commissioners to ‘keep an ear to the rail’ for council agenda postings and noted the city is coordinating AV and door access with the school district.
Officials said they hope to hold the meetings consistently on Mondays to reduce scheduling conflicts with the school district and that the temporary arrangement may last about a year, give or take, depending on construction progress. Staff encouraged commissioners and the public to monitor the city website for confirmed dates and times.
