The court read the formal appreciation letter for Cartwright, which recounted her service since joining county government in 2009 and serving as county treasurer since 08/01/2011, noting stewardship through events including Hurricane Harvey and the COVID-19 pandemic. The court complimented Cartwright's administration of payroll, hotel occupancy tax oversight and other treasurer responsibilities; the motion to accept her retirement passed unanimously.
