Committee directs bids for patch paving and Renova concrete work; discusses surplus turf equipment and generator hookup

Staff said the targeted pothole patching will cover Milh Hall Elementary, Central Mountain Middle School and the high school and is estimated at roughly 7,300 square feet; staff will solicit quotes or public bids depending on the final estimated cost and then seek board approval to proceed. For Renova Elementary, staff identified a larger full-repave and concrete job—360 feet by 25 feet (about 7,500 square feet)—and said curbs and sidewalks require replacement to meet ADA standards. "This concrete job at Renova Elementary is the number one priority for concrete work moving forward," a staff member said.
The committee also reviewed routine items: the annual Keystone Security and Technologies contract (committee discussion noted it was about $10,000 and that members were comfortable moving it to the board) and a surplus list that included turf-grooming equipment. Members noted the district has a newer natural-gas generator on site that was purchased but not hooked up and an older diesel generator that has not been run; staff will obtain electrical contractor quotes to complete hookup and will consider selling the diesel unit once cost and feasibility are confirmed.
Committee members directed staff to get bids on the patch paving and Renova concrete work, prepare the surplus equipment list for the board agenda, and obtain generator hookup cost estimates; final approvals will be requested from the board once bids and estimates are in hand.
