The board moved into executive session under West Virginia Code 6-9A-4 to discuss personnel matters and reconvened in open session at 7:02 p.m. After returning, the board took separate recorded votes on three superintendent-recommended transfers.
The transfer of Leslie Day failed on a 2–3 vote (ayes: Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Nice; nays: Mr. Glassoff, Mr. Castwell and Mrs. Spawner). The transfer of Connor Hannah likewise failed after a roll call that produced two ayes and three nays. The transfer of Rosa (Joe) Reed, a second-year Spanish teacher, was approved with a reported 4–1 vote and added to the transfer list.
Board members followed procedural norms by moving and seconding each transfer separately. No formal amendments were recorded at the time of the roll calls; board minutes list the named nays and ayes for transparency.
