St. Pete Beach marks library's 75th anniversary; Explorers Club honors two young 'good citizens'

Mayor Tate read a proclamation recognizing the 75th anniversary of the St. Pete Beach Public Library, recounting its founding in 1951, municipal status in 1957 and continued service as a community resource and member of the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative.
Earlier in the meeting, staff members from the St. Pete Beach Explorers Club presented ‘good citizen’ awards to two fourth‑grade recipients, Vivian Clark and Jeremiah (Germ) Neil, citing volunteerism, helpfulness and positive attitudes. The commission and the mayor also presented certificates to five city employees for ‘employee of the quarter’ recognition: Ken Cosbab, Autumn Kelso, Kristen Comman, Angela Petric and Michelle Curtis.
The mayor encouraged continued community support for the library and the city’s youth programs.
