The Roxbury Township Board of Education ratified new collective-bargaining agreements with the Roxbury Education Association (teacher unit) and the district's bus drivers group during Monday's meeting.
Negotiations committee members and administrators said both agreements resulted from collaborative bargaining. The items were moved and approved by roll call; one board member recorded an abstention on both contracts but the motions passed.
Superintendent Dr. Santo and business administrator Joe Mandinaro thanked bargaining teams for reaching settlements that the administration characterized as consistent with the district's efforts to preserve instructional capacity amid a tight budget environment. The contracts appear on the agenda as negotiated items and were included in the budget presentation that evening.
