Board honors staff of the year and reviews library media plan

The Hartford J1 School District Board of Education used part of its April 27 meeting to honor employees and review the district’s library media plan.

Board members asked about preserving hands‑on, in‑library book selection for younger students, the average age of collections and scheduling dedicated library time for classes; Adam said the district will continue to prioritize physical collections while building digital literacy and aims to give every class dedicated library time once ELA updates are complete.
