Hartford J1 board elects new officers and names delegates

The Hartford J1 School District Board of Education elected Erin Wil as board president and completed officer selections at its April 27, 2026, organizational meeting.

Board members nominated and voted by written ballot for president; the results were announced by the board secretary and Erin Wil assumed the chair to conduct subsequent elections. The board elected Luis Shrunk as vice president, cast a unanimous ballot for Barb Linder as clerk (with ministerial duties delegated to the board secretary), and selected Ian (name recorded in the packet/vote as Ian Brown/Granbeck; transcript contains variant spellings) for treasurer, with ministerial duties delegated to the business services director.

The newly organized board also made routine external appointments. Louise Shrunk was named the district’s WASB (Wisconsin Association of School Boards) delegate with Ian named as alternate, and the board appointed Barb Linder to represent the district on the CISA 6 board of control for the coming term. Board members discussed the CISA 6 role’s primary obligation — an annual required meeting on June 17 (5:30 p.m., in Oshkosh) — and noted that monthly attendance beyond the annual meeting is encouraged but not mandatory.
