Parks director outlines expansion, Spring Bend and Kinetic Park reopening

Major projects discussed included Spring Bend Park (phase one under construction with prairie trails and a planned elevated viewing platform), the 785‑acre Jay and Carolyn Hinges Wildlife Park in partnership with the Great River Habitat Alliance, and design work on phase two of Oglesby Park near Wentzville. Graham said staff are also redesigning the heritage museum into a heritage center in partnership with the county library district to support genealogy and local storytelling.
Graham highlighted a revamp of Kinetic Park (formerly the youth activity park) and said the county will hold a grand reopening on May 30 with live music and the new splash pad opening. He thanked staff and praised partnerships that support park growth and programming.
