Public Works also reported a low bid of approximately $210,000 to repave North Avenue; staff recommended budgeting $250,000 to cover contractor scope checks, required on-site engineering by Lake County during construction, and contingency. The department noted rising fuel, salt and electricity costs, and flagged a new GIS coordinator (Ross Kaminsky) moved into public works to support mapping and project management.
Trustees requested additional detail on the paving scope and the timeline for the master plan; staff said they would provide an engineering scope and firm estimates for the April 29 special meeting.
