The select board member said she contacted Katherine Mardoza at ABCOG and will coordinate with AVCOG staff for a site visit; the aim is to have application details ready by the May 5 solid‑waste committee meeting so the town can sign a memorandum of understanding and, if ready, submit an application through the town. The member said she had also discussed a $10,000 community foundation grant and had received positive feedback; she expects to hear back before June 1 but did not have a firm award date.
Separately, the board was told that transfer‑station compactor repairs were completed and that the transfer station would be open the next day; public works staff will be available to assist if problems arise. The ad hoc swap‑shop committee will meet May 15 at 6:00 p.m. to continue planning.
