Staff said the stewardship comments were incorporated and that the regulations remain amendable at future public meetings if issues arise. Commissioners praised the staff and stewardship collaboration that produced the changes.
Commissioners and staff also discussed a potential future addition to the regulations to address ‘‘lighting trespass’’ (for example, bright commercial lighting spilling onto conserved areas). Staff said they will research whether fines, a process, or referral to zoning enforcement would be the appropriate avenue and report back.
The commission approved the regulations by motion with a unanimous roll call.
