Moorestown board adopts 2026–27 budget after roll-call vote; one member opposed

The Moorestown Township Public School District Board of Education adopted the district’s final 2026–27 budget following a roll-call vote at its meeting. After a brief public hearing in which no speakers addressed the budget, the board voted to approve the plan, and the motion carried.

The chair opened the night by describing the budget round as especially challenging and said the board worked with administration to preserve core programs “while balancing hard financial realities.” Superintendent Dr. McNeely thanked staff, cabinet and families for their work and described the vote as the result of “thoughtful” budgeting by the administration.
