Staff told the board that the county received an offer of $40,000 for a surplus parcel located on Hybridge Road that the county acquired in 2020. The offerors are reportedly adjoining property owners.
"The offer that we received is $40,000 for the property," staff said, describing the parcel as surplus property and asking the board to move the item to action so the upset-bid process can begin. Staff noted newspaper deadlines that will determine the timing of the upset-bid notice.
After brief discussion, a commissioner moved and the board voted to start the upset-bid process and approve the resolution to begin public notice and bidding requirements under local government procedures. Staff said it will return to the board with any upset-bid responses and final disposition recommendations.
