Morris council approves consent agenda and small change order for municipal liquor store

Under petitions and communications, staff presented change order number seven for the new Morris Municipal Liquor Store. City staff described the change order as adding casework, cubby shelving, door stops and minor finish items to match the layout of the existing store and ease the transition; the cost was described in the meeting as roughly $1,200. Council moved, seconded and approved the change order by voice vote.
The consent approvals also drew attention to upcoming community items: the Tree Board’s spring planting and a street-sweeping offer to local businesses in the week of May 6. The council encouraged residents and businesses to use those services.
