Council member Crosby asked staff to highlight the small‑cell master license agreement (Item 10). City manager Ken Domer told council the action approved a template that delegates authority to staff and is part of a process by which carriers like Verizon, AT&T and T‑Mobile can seek to attach equipment to city infrastructure. Domer said Verizon has expressed interest in placing roughly five to eight small cells and that initial deployments will target North La Verne to improve cellular coverage.
The item passed as part of the consent calendar (motion by Crosby, seconded by Laauo) on a 4–0 vote with Council member Casper absent. Domer said staff will follow up with carriers and update the council and the public on deployment timing and locations as agreements progress.
