Laredo ISD honors employees at milestone service recognition program

Ambrose Gomez, executive director for technology, read the 20-year recipients, praising long service to the district. "It is my honor it is an honor for me to recognize our employees who have dedicated 20 years to our school district," Gomez said.
Gerardo Rodriguez, assistant superintendent for student services, introduced the 15-year recipients and thanked them for their careers in the district. "It is a pleasure to acknowledge those employees who have dedicated their career to the district for 15 years," Rodriguez stated.
Maggie Martinez, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, presented the 10-year awards. Martinez said, "A decade with LISD is an achievement to be proud of," and the program singled out Michelle Gonzales of McDonough Elementary as the HEB principal of the year among 10-year honorees.
Flora Yalla, assistant superintendent for finance, called the names of employees who have completed five years with the district, covering staff in library services, food service, information technology, communications and human resources.
The program closed with S2 (the event moderator) thanking board members and congratulating recipients. "This concludes our program tonight," the moderator said before attendees dispersed.
The event was a ceremonial recognition with no formal board actions or votes recorded in the transcript.
