The Franklin Board of Education completed its annual organizational business at the April 29 meeting, electing officers, confirming committee assignments and approving routine designations.
During nominations for president, Ann Seperski was nominated from the floor and elected by voice vote. Board members then nominated and elected the vice president (identified in the record as 'Mike') and elected Dr. Khan as treasurer. Dr. Ver was nominated and elected clerk. In each officer vote the board used a voice vote and members present responded affirmatively.
The board also confirmed committee and representative assignments: the CISA board representative role will continue with Mike serving in that capacity; Mike will also serve as the district’s WSBA delegate with Katie as backup; the S SWSA board representative will continue to be attended by the same board member for now. The board set its policy committee membership to include Dr. Beer, Mrs. Yank and Mrs. Ehart following a vacancy.
The board took a subsequent vote to ratify organizational actions taken during the meeting and approved the consent agenda. There were no community comments during the public comment period recorded in the minutes. A motion later in the meeting to enter closed session to discuss the district administrator self‑evaluation carried on a roll‑call vote.
The meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
