At its April 27 meeting the Town of Hubbardston design committee asked the consultant to provide comparative cost estimates for the two design options and a first draft of updated plans within approximately 10 days. Committee members said voters will expect numbers, so the drafts should include rough cost ranges tied to each option.
Members recalled earlier budget discussion that placed full development in the roughly $8.5–$10 million range and asked the consultant to update those figures. The committee agreed the June town meeting presentation will be informational (not a votable warrant item), and it cautioned against showing photorealistic renderings that could be mistaken for final designs. The consultant will circulate drafts by email; the committee set a 72–96 hour turnaround for comments and tentatively planned an in-person review the week of May 18.
The group also asked staff to verify the condition and rating of the onsite wastewater (Title 5) system with the Board of Health before advancing landscaping or parking work, and to supply any missing departmental needs assessments that will affect workstation counts and program layout.
