The Bristol Township School District Board voted 8–1 at its April meeting to extend the closing date in the district’s purchase-and-sale agreement with Crystal Windows for the FDR Middle School property to March 31, 2027, subject to a formal addendum and solicitor review.
Solicitor Thomas Truelove told the board the extension would allow the purchaser to complete township applications and related work needed to move the redevelopment forward and that Crystal Windows had promised interim concessions and payments to help the district. "The motion is to extend the closing date set forth in the purchase and sale agreement with Crystal Windows for the purchase of the FDR Middle School property to March 31st, 2027, subject to a formal addendum and solicitor review," Truelove said during the meeting.
The motion was moved and seconded by board members (recorded as Constance Gallus and Drew DiDonato), and carried 8–1, with board member Mr. Harkins recorded as the lone dissent. According to the board’s remarks on the record, the extension is intended to give the buyer time to pursue required municipal approvals; the addendum and final legal review were stated as conditions of the extension.
