The FID plan had been discussed at the curriculum committee meeting, where committee members signaled support for adopting flexible instructional days and staff described how the approach would be implemented. The committee recommended advancing the plan to the full board for action.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the approval during the meeting; no amendment or separate implementation schedule was adopted at the May 4 session. The district administration is expected to publish details to families and staff and to present any required follow-up materials at future meetings.
The vote completes the board’s formal approval of the plan; the district will determine operational timelines and family communication next.
