The Elsagundo City Council adopted the fiscal year 2026—27 master fee schedule following a staff presentation and a brief public hearing on May 5.
CFO Paul Chung told council the recommended fee adjustments reflect a 3.16% increase tied to the consumer price index and are expected to generate roughly $250,000 in additional revenue for next fiscal year. He also outlined targeted changes: certain recreation fees (pick leball drop-in rates and bus-only trip fees) will increase beyond CPI, a new RPL trip fee will be added, and at least one fee (for a day camp program not being offered) was removed from the schedule.
The public hearing produced no written or in-person comments. After council discussion praising staff's effort to rationalize fees and keep key services affordable, a motion to adopt the resolution updating the city's master fee schedule passed unanimously.
The updated fee schedule takes effect as adopted for FY26-27; staff said they are available to answer detailed implementation questions and will incorporate the changes into the city's fee tables.
