Millbrook Central School District honored students and music teachers at the start of its May 5 board meeting, recognizing performers who reached all‑county and all‑state ensembles and groups that competed at Music in the Parks.
A music department representative thanked staff and named many individual student honorees across band, chorus and solo festivals, and highlighted ensembles that earned top ratings. "These students put so much effort into their solos ... they should be very, very proud," the presenter said, listing students selected to area and county ensembles and noting special achievements including a superior rating and first‑place finish for the marching/master band and top ratings for chorus diction and note accuracy.
The board thanked teachers and parents for their support and invited students and families to receive certificates and a photo after the meeting.
