Texarkana launches College Hill grocery survey and forms community-chamber committee

The manager said the survey is targeted to College Hill and immediately adjacent areas but that anyone may participate; online responses are preferred for processing, and physical copies are available at city hall, Life House Church and Boone Ministries. The manager said the committee includes chamber staff, a real-estate contact and a grant writer; meetings generally occur Wednesdays at 3 p.m. at the chamber and interested board members are welcome to attend.
Directors asked whether grocery operators had expressed interest; staff said no specific grocer has committed yet and that committee members had begun research and outreach. The manager said she met with hospitality‑industry and real‑estate contacts to develop materials and will continue outreach before sharing a plan with the board.
