Boonton accepts resignation of Public Safety Director Brian Gorny; director to use terminal leave through June 30

Councilmember Wakielski moved to accept the resignation with regret, Devenezia seconded, and the motion passed on voice vote; councilmembers discussed arranging a letter or other memorialization of Gorny's service and referenced a departmental event that evening.
No future personnel appointments were finalized at the meeting; council said it would follow standard procedures to address the department’s interim leadership and any recruitment needed before June 30.
