The Claremore City Council approved two zoning ordinance items on May 4. Planning staff presented a request to rezone a quarter‑acre lot from RSF5 to MF2 to allow a duplex and told the council the change fits the neighborhood conservation designation and existing mixed residential character. The council moved, seconded and approved ordinance 2026‑8 by roll call.
A second item (ordinance 2026‑9) adjusted lot size and depth standards in an RSF10/MF2 area to create a smoother transition between multifamily and single‑family lots. Planning staff said the change is minimal and consistent with nearby development patterns; the council approved the ordinance by roll call.
Both items passed without recorded dissent. Planning staff will incorporate the adopted zoning into permitting and future site review.
