Lorain County commissioners adopt updated subdivision regulations and fee schedule

The Lorain County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt updated subdivision regulations and an updated fee schedule for unincorporated parts of Lorain County.

At a reopened joint public hearing, a clerk referred the Planning Commission's recommendation on the updated subdivision regulations, saying, “I will refer this to Commissioner Gallagher,” and the group moved to recommend approval with amendments. That recommendation was approved by voice vote.

Following informal remarks and a brief special meeting call, the chair opened the formal special meeting, stating, “This is the Lorain County Board of Commissioners special meeting regards to adopting the updated subdivision regulations of Lorain County, Ohio.” The clerk then took roll and confirmed a quorum with Commissioners Riddell and Gallagher present.

A commissioner moved to adopt the Planning Commission's recommendations on the subdivision regulations; the motion was seconded and carried with Commissioners Riddell and Gallagher each voting “Aye.” The board then considered a separate resolution updating the fee schedule that applies to unincorporated portions of the county. That motion was also moved, seconded and carried with the same recorded votes.
