Notable items included: two small surplus property sales (one at Grimes Avenue for $7,500 and one at Carolyn Drive in Turlock for $4,500); an agreement with Turning Point Community Programs to provide short-term rental assistance for people experiencing homelessness in an amount not to exceed $1,341,040; purchase of a trailer-mounted portable stage from Century Industries LLC (not to exceed $275,330, as listed in the report); a clerical correction and lease amendment extending a fire administration building lease with Beard Land Improvement Company and increasing the agreement by approximately $490,716; a five-year general liability third-party administrator agreement with George Hills Company not to exceed $2,511,800; and a five-year transport service agreement with Bertilotti Modesto Disposal Incorporated not to exceed $158,946.
Council voted to approve the entire consent calendar in a single motion (moved by Council Member Wright, seconded by Council Member Bavaro); clerks recorded unanimous approval.
What happens next: Staff will proceed to execute contracts and handle recruitments for vacancies created by the resignations.
