Il Valley Central USD 321 board approves consent agenda, federal plans and summer facility work

The Il Valley Central USD 321 Board of Education approved a package of routine and project items at its regular meeting, including the consent agenda, federal consolidated district plans for the 2026–27 school year, membership for Chopi Junior High and restroom renovations at the district’s CC facility.

The consent agenda included minutes from the March 24 regular and closed sessions, April bills and financial reports, fund-balance statements and April closed-session audio recordings; a motion to approve the consent items was made and seconded and passed with no discussion recorded.

Board members also considered and approved the federal consolidated district plans covering Title I, II and IV flow-through funds and the district preschool program for 2026–27. A board member characterized the consolidated submission as a federal data and electronic-submission requirement and noted its length; the board moved and seconded approval during the action-items portion of the meeting.

The board approved annual membership for Chopi Junior High for the 2026–27 school year, described in the meeting as an annual participation requirement, and moved forward a summer maintenance project to renovate restrooms at the CC facility. Facility work described by staff included widening the entrance and adding stalls on the second floor; the project was presented as part of summer maintenance planning.
