The Goshen Board of Works and Public Safety unanimously approved the promotion of Firefighter James Mike White to the rank of fire sergeant, retroactive to March 14, 2026. The chief recommended the promotion, citing White’s leadership, judgment and consistent performance.
The same meeting recorded two personnel departures in the fire department. The chief presented written resignations from Firefighter Joseph Cass Sone, whose last day was listed as April 10, 2026, and Firefighter Chase Bear, whose last day was listed as April 13, 2026. The board voted to accept both resignations retroactively to the dates stated.
