Lauderhill honors Broward Health, highlights mobile clinic that will serve uninsured residents

Marcelus Green and Broward Health representatives described February kickoff events, subsequent park‑based clinics and a forthcoming two‑year phase that will station a mobile health unit at Lauder Hill Sports Park weekly to provide blood work, physicals and pediatric services for insured and uninsured residents. City Manager Hobbs said staff will help publicize the schedule and maximize participation.
Commissioners praised the partnership and noted the program is intended to reach residents who might otherwise lack access to preventive care. Broward Health emphasized a comprehensive care approach for follow‑up services when screenings identify needs.
The proclamation recognized Broward Health Appreciation Day and thanked staff and volunteers for coordinating the outreach.
