The CUSD 201 Board of Education handled routine organizational and personnel matters at its April 14 regular meeting, approving several motions by roll call and tabling one multi-year contract for further correction.
The board approved the schedule of regular meetings and appointed Kevin Marin as the district’s Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) delegate. The board approved the April 14 regular and closed-session minutes and then approved the consent agenda, which included personnel recommendations (Caitlyn Moser, social worker; Amelia Bera, elementary teacher; William McGee, summer temporary help), the May 2026 expenditure report, ratification of March 2026 payroll, and approval of the SASID lease agreement.
The board approved administrator contracts presented for the 2027 fiscal year for Mary Casier, Adam Cordalooski, Samantha Cinovich and Tiffany Teresi. A proposed multi-year contract for the assistant superintendent of finance and human resources (Ronald Okconor) drew questions about the term dates and typographical errors in the draft; the board postponed action on that contract to allow corrections and to reintroduce it at a future meeting. The board approved a multi-year contract for the Manning Elementary assistant/principal (Stephanie) covering the 2026–27 school year as assistant principal and 2027–29 as Manning principal.
The board also approved the destruction of verbatim closed-session minutes for March 1, 2024 through August 30, 2024 as part of routine records management. The meeting adjourned after calendar and event updates.
