Staff said the chargers are planned to be Level‑2 and that the city’s current electric vehicle fleet charges primarily at the corporation yard. Peninsula Clean Energy will also support broader EV infrastructure planning for City Hall and other facilities.
Council approved acceptance and appropriation of the grant in the consent agenda. Members asked staff about connector compatibility and pricing; staff said they would return with pilot results and details about charging speeds and compatibility testing.
