Town awards 2024 roadway improvement contract to Climber Paving
Summary

At its Oct. 15 meeting the Atoka Town Board approved awarding the 2024 roadway improvement package to Climber Paving, the low bidder on the project.
Staff presented two bids for the project and recommended the low bid. The board discussed available funds in the current budget (roughly $300,000 plus reserves and a like amount in state funds); staff said the award amount was within budgeted resources and reserves.
A motion to accept the recommended low bid was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Director-level staff said Climber Paving has been used before and assured the board it will complete the work this year.
Board members asked staff to monitor the project and provide updates on any change orders.
