Alderman P asked what the Millington Chamber had produced in terms of direct business for Atoka. Staff said the membership facilitates relationships and tourism promotion and that the town’s membership level had been reduced while retaining a seat at chamber discussions. "We have Millington businesses that are members of the South Tipton Chamber," a staff member said, noting ongoing conversations between chamber directors.
After discussion about participation and measurable returns, the board moved and approved the membership by voice vote. The expenditure will be charged to tourism-related funds per staff comments.
