Urbana council approves data‑sharing agreement with University of Illinois and related budget amendment

Councilmember Verdell Jones moved to adopt Resolution 202604016R, approving the intergovernmental agreement, which was seconded and approved on a roll‑call vote in which the clerk recorded affirmative votes. The council then adopted Ordinance 202604010, a budget amendment (amendment number nine) that updates the city’s fiscal plan to account for the data‑system agreement; that ordinance also passed on a roll‑call vote with affirmatives recorded.

The agenda materials and motions identify the agreement as related to services in the city police department. Council materials circulated in advance included recommended language and a budget amendment; no substantive discussion was requested at the meeting. Administrator White and staff had provided the council with the recommended edits and accompanying email correspondence prior to the meeting.
