Committee approves Hokum Woods Parkway stormwater pipelining task order with contingency authorization

The city solicited bids from pre-qualified contractors and received three responses; staff recommended Utility Asset Management as the low bidder and presented a contingency that brought the total authorization to $97,245.
Council members asked about specific lining materials and techniques. Mr. Watson described cure-in-place lining and spray/structural concrete approaches and said the choice is driven by site conditions and constructability. Council Member Christopher Zack and others asked about AR glass/chop fiber products; staff said those materials were unlikely for this project. After discussion, the committee approved the task order unanimously.
Staff will execute the task order under the stormwater utility program and return for any contract amendments if contingencies are exceeded.
